The hidden gems, pop-ups and top tips in Scotland this week...
1. The Clydebuilt Festival is on today down at the Glasgow Riverside Museum from 10am until 7pm. There will be dragon-boat racing, sea shanties, storytelling, street food, live music, a wee sherry and a lot of lively fun. It will all be quite boaty, to be honest. Free

3. Next Saturday night sees Sisters of Reggae at The Rumshack in Glasgow. The UK’s finest all-female Reggae DJ collective will play the sweet sounds of ska, rocksteady, roots, rub-a-dub, lovers rock and early digital. The sisters have supported the likes of David Rodigan, Channel One, Aba Shanti-I, Max Romeo, Sister Nancy and Trojan Sound System. Tickets £7 on eventbrite, Saturday, September 28, from 8pm-1am
4. It’s nearly October and Dundee turns into Munich (well, Slessor Gardens does) with all things beer and sausage. 5. They say in heaven love comes first, she’ll make heaven a place on Earth. While we’re talking all things 80s, I can’t not mention Belinda Carlisle. She of the bad perm and the beautiful voice is hitting the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall tonight, 7pm. Tickets £32
6. Big shout out to Lulu, who hits the Highlands this week. Stand back Take That, Lulu has relit her fire. On at Eden Court in Inverness on Thursday, September 26, at 7.30pm. Tickets £35
7. An evening with Annie Lennox is being staged in support of The Circle, a fantastic charity she helped to found to create transformative change in the lives of women and girls facing challenges due to gender disempowerment all over the globe. The event is supported by The Hunter Foundation. It’s the first time this diva has performed in Scotland in a decade. I’ll be there. Will you? I hope so, because I only wanna be with you!
