SCOTLAND’S rugby squad took a break from their World Cup preparations to see trials cyclist Danny MacAskill’s Drop and Roll Show on a night out at Underbelly’s Circus Hub in Edinburgh.

Prop Zander Fagerson got involved in the action after being nominated by his team-mates because he’s a big bike fan.

He lay totally still on a box, legs spread, while trials rider, and Drop and Roll founder Duncan Shaw dropped from the highest part of the set to land a wheel on either side of his legs, finishing off by hopping over Fagerson a couple more times to huge cheers from the sell-out crowd, before moving into the finale of the show.

Danny MacAskill’s Drop & Roll Live is a highlight of this year’s Underbelly Circus Hub programme.

After five years touring the world, Drop & Roll Live is making its Edinburgh Fringe debut with a brand-new show led by MacAskill. He is joined by fellow Scot Shaw, and innovative BMX riders Kriss Kyle and Alex Coleborn, who will each perform selected dates across the run.

Hosted by extreme sports commentator Henry Jackson, the hour-long show includes plenty of crowd participation plus prizes to be won throughout. For tickets, see www.underbellyedinburgh.co.uk
