FOOTAGE of an adorable disabled lamb walking with homemade “bionic” legs has blown up on social media.

Blossom, a three-month-old sheep who was abandoned by her mother shortly after birth, lives on the remote Fair Isle, Shetland, so has no access to a vet.

After Blossom developed nephrosis, owner Rachel Challoner, who runs a small croft, came up with homemade supports for Blossom’s front legs using drain piping and metal rods.

One video of Blossom has racked up 23,000 views.

Challoner said she puts the legs on the lamb “first thing in the morning”.

“It’s really trying to help her function normally as a sheep and it’s really working,” she added.

The crofter said she thinks the lamb’s new nickname, Bionic Blossom, is “quite cute”.
