LEWIS Capaldi rounded off the final day of Scotland’s biggest music festival yesterday.

The Someone You Loved hitmaker was a late addition to the TRNSMT bill, replacing indie band Snow Patrol.

Aberdeenshire’s Emile Sande also took to the main stage after being called in when Jess Glynne pulled out.

The festival ran across three days, attracting sell-crowds of 50,000 per day at Glasgow Green.

Revellers enjoyed blue skies and sunshine, with temperatures sitting at around 20C.

Amongst those performing were Richard Ashcroft and Welsh rockers Catfish, whose track Glasgow references Sauchiehall Street and includes the lyric “you made me fall in love with Glasgow”.

Bastille also took to the main stage, playing songs from their new album Doom Days and Happier, their collaboration with Marshmello.

Drummer Chris Wood commented: “We’ve been coming here for years now and we’ve never had a bad gig here.

“Everyone’s just showed us so much love and it’s just like the vibe here is just amazing.”

Festival event manager Colin Roger said the experience had been “phenomenal”, adding: “The incredible TRNSMT audience has been in fine voice over the past two days.”

Police Scotland said eight people were arrested for alleged disorder and drugs offences in and around the festival on Saturday, and 23 people had drugs seized from them.

Meanwhile, police are seeking information about two men after a woman was sexually assaulted on Saturday night. The 32-yearold was grabbed by one man and sexually assaulted by another as she made her way to the toilets, believed to be near the main stage, around 10pm. They ran off after being disturbed by three men who were walking by.
