Today at Wimbledon, BBC2, 8.30pm

IF you missed the start of Wimbledon, Clare Balding presents highlights of the opening day’s play at the All England Club, where the first round got under way in the men’s and women’s singles. Much of the attention will have been on the opening match on Centre Court, which saw Novak Djokovic begin the defence of his title, in pursuit of a fifth triumph here. The bottom half of the women’s draw also started, as the players looked to emulate 2018 champion Angelique Kerber.

Trawlermen: Celebs at Sea, C5, 9pm

IN this compelling new series, Boyzone veteran Shane Lynch, seasoned chef Antony Worrall Thompson and rugby player Ben Cohen join the crew of a trawler to see if they’ve got what it takes to handle one of Britain’s toughest jobs. Fierce Atlantic storms, sea sickness and sleep deprivation soon take their toll. Skipper Alan Watt has major reservations about the trio’s suitability for the job, especially as Worrall Thompson is 67, well past the age most trawlermen retire.

Long Lost Family, STV, 9pm

SINGER-songwriter KT Tunstall always knew she was adopted and in 1998 was reunited with her birth mother, who told her that her father never wanted to give her up – a message that has inspired her to find out what happened to him. Brother and sister Simon Munro and Carole Killick grew up apart after their mother left when they were young but the siblings were reunited more than 20 years ago and are now searching for mother.

Britain’s Next Air Disaster? Drones, BBC2, 9.30pm

IN December 2018, Gatwick was brought to a standstill due to an alleged drone. The incident cost the airport £1.4 million and saw the UK’s second busiest airport closed for 33 hours. In this one-off film, high-risk specialist Aldo Kane investigates the scale of the threat these aerial devices pose to UK airspace and airports – from rogue hobbyists to terrorist attacks. There’s also a look at what technology is available to keep the skies safe.
