Labrador Raffa is nearly 11 and has become lame with constant pain in his front legs. Noel discovers cartilage erosion in both knees. Meanwhile, five-year-old dachshund Zizi is rushed in after suddenly losing the use of her back legs overnight.

The Restaurant that Makes Mistakes, C4, 9pm
FOUR-PART documentary in which the first restaurant staffed by people with dementia opens its doors. Michelin-starred restaurateur Josh Eggleton is determined to get the city of Bristol, where the restaurant is based, to engage with dementia. He heads straight to the top and takes former nurse Joy and former engineer Pete to visit mayor Marvin Rees to share the stark realities of their experiences.

The Trans Women Athlete Dispute with Martina Navratilova, BBC1, 9pm
EARLIER this year, Martina Navratilova called for an open debate about transgender women athletes competing in women’s sports. It created news headlines around the world. In this documentary, the tennis legend opens up the discussion and answers some of her own questions by meeting athletes, trans women, scientists and sporting officials. She meets Naomi, a trans woman at the beginning of her transition who wants to be able to continue to play football.
