ALL Under One Banner (AUOB) is hosting a volunteers’ meeting to help Yessers get involved in the planning and organising of this summer’s Aberdeen march.

On Saturday June 22, independence supporters are invited to the Station Hotel in the city to help put together the August march and rally.

The meeting is one of eight planned around the country in a new system of organisation by AUOB, which is looking to involve local volunteers as event stewards, first-aiders, rally crew and fundraisers.

AUOB said: “Come along to this organising meeting if you are wanting to know more about our plans for the AUOB August 17 Aberdeen march, and most importantly for you to find out how you can get involved as we are requiring a broad range of volunteers to help make the big day happen.

“Over and above this we will have thousands of flyers and promotional materials available to collect to take home with you and distribute to those you know and all over your local area.”

The Aberdeen march and rally will take place on Saturday, August 17. Independence supporters are to gather at Castlegate, where the march will begin at 1.30pm.

The route will cover Union Street, Holburn Street, Fonthill Road, Polmuir Road and Duthie Park.

AUOB will be running busses from Glasgow City Chambers from 9.30am on the day – tickets can be pre-booked online at https://tinyurl.com/y4gj8dve.

Other volunteers meetings will be held in Perth and Edinburgh ahead of AUOB marches there.
