AT least 7000 people have turned out to show their support for an independent Scotland at All Under One Banner’s latest march.

Images and videos of thousands of marchers at AUOB’s Oban event have been shared on social media.

Organisers approximated the attendance at 7000.

The procession began at 2.30pm, and followed the route: Atlantis Leisure Car Park, Breadalbane Street, George Street, Argyll Square, Combie Street, Glencruitten Road, Mossfield Stadium.

Pictures and video from the event show people walking through the streets carrying flags and chanting.

AUOB officials had warned before the event that counter-demonstrations were likely, but pro-indy marchers were encouraged to simply ignore them or “smile and wave”.

The latest event follows several huge AUOB march and rallies, including two in Glasgow as well as events in Edinburgh, Inverness and Galashiels.
