The National:

Twas the night before polling, in a tweet to the nation, an SNP councillour shared a rather weird statement. (It's an awkward rhyme, it still counts)

A rather bizarre decision by Inverclyde councillor Chris McEleny has caught the eye of Scottish political Twitter this morning.

The former SNP depute leadership candidate tweeted the image of an SNP leaflet, setting out reasons to vote SNP ahead of the EU poll, with his face on it.

The problem is... that's not his body. In fact, Chris isn't even a candidate in the EU elections.

Of course, Scottish political Twitter wasn't about to let this wild decision pass without comment...

Though despite generally amused responses, some also had a more pointed take to share.
