SCOTLAND'S Unionist parites have drawn criticism after delivering EU election leaflets that don't focus on Brexit.

A photo on Twitter, posted by Toni Giugliano, shows flyers from Scottish Labour, the Scottish Tories, the Scottish Greens and the SNP – and the only parties highlighting Europe on the front page are the latter two.

The Scottish Tory leaflet, which highlights the words "Unionist" and "no more referendums", has a clear focus on preventing Scottish independence.

The Labour Party's flyer opts for a photograph of UK leader Jeremy Corbyn – not Scottish boss Richard Leonard – and vaguely attacks the Tories at Westminster.

Meanwhile, the SNP's leaflet features a clear message, with the words "Scotland's for Europe. Let's say it loud and clear" written in bold in the centre.

And the Scottish Greens opt for highlighting three key policy issues: stopping Brexit, tackling the climate crisis, and defending freedom of movement.

The distinct difference between the flyer approaches drew criticism on Twitter, with one user saying Davidson "has no idea what the EU elections are about".

The Tories are expected to fare poorly at next week's EU election, with current polling placing the party on 9%.
