But have you ever wondered how the humble spud is turned into the unusual shapes in your favourite bag? Travel Man: 48 Hours in Hamburg, C4, 8.30pm

RICHARD Ayoade is joined by comedian Bob Mortimer for a weekend away in the German city. On arrival in the warehouse district, they check in to a nautical-themed hotel before hitting the Elbphilharmonie – from which they get a 360-degree view of the city below. Richard and Bob join a Beatles tour around the red-light district before sampling hipster cocktails at the Drip Bar, while also finding time to take in cruising, art deco, E numbers, emulsifiers, thickeners, and a beach bar overlooking the shipyards. The All New Monty: Who Bares Wins, STV, 9pm

IN 2017, ITV decided to mark the 20th anniversary of the hit movie The Full Monty by convincing a group of male celebrities to perform their own striptease in the hopes of raising awareness of men’s cancers. The resulting TV show was such a hit that it’s now well on its way to becoming an annual event, as this week a third group of men – namely Jack Fincham, Kelvin Fletcher, Joe Pasquale, Gorka Marquez, Willie Thorne, Rav Wilding and Matt Evers – are preparing to shed their inhibitions.

Ghosts, BBC1, 9.30pm

FORTUNE smiles on Mike and Alison when a TV company comes calling, looking for an old house in which to film a period drama. But to get the money in the bank, Alison must ensure the shoot goes without a hitch despite the horde of curious ghosts, the house’s crumbling floorboards and her crippling crush on the show’s lead actor.
