GARY Imlach is joined by Phil Deignan to present the fifth staging of the prestigious UCI Europe Tour race, which gets under way with a 189km journey from Doncaster to Selby. The successful outfit originally known as Team Sky relaunches as Team Ineos here, and is spearheaded by four-time Tour de France-winner Chris Froome, who will be aiming to become the first British victor of this race. Daniel Friebe offers reports en route, while Ned Boulting and David Millar provide the commentary.

easyJet: Inside the Cockpit, STV, 9pm

THE documentary series returns to follow experienced pilots at work and the rookies in training. In the heart of the Alps, Captain Emma Henderson faces technical breakdowns, severe turbulence and a medical emergency when a passenger collapses in her arms. Meanwhile, at Innsbruck Airport, Captain Brij Kotecha has just seconds to decide whether to land or abort when he approaches the runway through a blanket of cloud. The series also explores some of the challenges facing the airline and its staff.

Our Dementia Choir with Vicky McClure, BBC1, 8pm

LINE Of Duty actress Vicky McClure is an ambassador for the Alzheimer’s Society. She’s seen for herself the effect of dementia through caring for her grandmother Iris, who died from the disease in 2015. The actress has also witnessed how music therapy can change the lives of patients and the people who love and care for them, and with this new two-part documentary, she’s hoping to spread the word even further by forming a special band and choir.

My Extreme Drugs Diary, C5, 10pm

AS drug get stronger and purer, they are having a more intense effect on the lives of those who take them. This documentary hears from users about their experiences, focusing on a different drug each week, beginning with heroin. Those featured include a man who holds down a good job despite a long-term habit that can cost hundreds of pounds a day, a couple whose relationship revolves around their shared use and a long-term user who is managing his cravings with the heroin substitute methadone.
