IT is the tweet which has been brought up many times by independence supporters since the Brexit vote in 2014 – and now Scots can see it up in lights as part of our new billboard campaign.
We wanted to make sure the people of Scotland never forget that Better Together told us the route to leaving the EU was by voting for independence.
“What is process [sic] for removing our EU citizenship? Voting Yes #scotdecides”, the tweet read.
It has turned out to be the most spectacularly broken promise of a campaign full of them. It was voting No, of course, which cost Scotland our place in the European Union as a small independent country.
