In the first edition, two architects compete to remodel a home in Scotland for 34-year-old Andy and his 32-year-old partner Esther, whose three-bedroom house in Stirling is now too cramped for the pair and their three small children. But which of the two radical new designs will then be built in real life?

THE second series of this psychological thriller has the same name and a hospital setting but a new plot and cast. This time Alfred Enoch takes centre stage as Corporal Jamie McCain, a soldier who was on duty in Afghanistan when he suffered an injury that left him paralysed. He’s sent to a Glasgow spinal unit for rehabilitation but he faces a new danger when his fellow patients start dying around him. Jamie thinks the deaths are suspicious, but has his judgment been skewed by his traumatic experiences? Ashley Jensen and John Hannah play some of the hospital staff who may have something to hide ...

Ben Fogle: New Lives in the Wild, C5, 9pm

BEN meets more people who inhabit inhospitable parts of the world. In the first edition, he travels to a remote stretch of the Peruvian coastline to meet couple Scott and Casey. The pair left their lives growing up in England to pursue a life of travel and extreme sports but, after six years of globetrotting, they gambled their life savings on running a kite-surfing school in Peru.

Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back, Channel 4, 11.05pm

GORDON Ramsay begins a new run by visiting The Trolley Stop Cafe in New Orleans, Louisiana, which has been open since 1995 and sits on the longest serving trolley route in the world. It is owned by Ragnar, who bought the cafe from his grandfather following a career in energy consulting. After going undercover with the local sheriff department, Gordon notices mismatched tables, a filthy dining room, mounds of debris, unsanitary handling of food and soggy oysters.
