WITH Westminster in crisis and the Prime Minister striving to get her deal through Parliament, the BBC’s political editor takes viewers through every twist and turn of the most extraordinary political story of recent times. Cameras follow key politicians as well as Kuenssberg herself as she reports on exceptional events, from Theresa May’s doomed efforts to secure backing for her Chequers plan to Cabinet resignations and backbench plots.

ON the final leg of his epic round-the-world trip, Tony Robinson arrives in America, beginning in San Francisco, where the hippie heritage he remembers has been replaced by high-tech start-ups. After devouring a burger precision-engineered by robots, he jumps aboard the famous California Zephyr bound for Denver, Colorado. From there, Robinson heads south into the sticky heat of Louisiana. He meets the mayor of New Orleans, who explains how the city has been rebuilding since Hurricane Katrina.
This Time with Alan Partridge, BBC1, 9.30pm
FACED with some of the toughest challenges that live TV can throw at a man – including rancour behind the scenes, a viewer in danger and a segment on women’s fashion – Alan calls on “Sidekick” Simon Denton to step up to the plate. But will they sink or swim?
Fleabag, BBC1, 10.35pm
CLAIRE has a crisis and turns to Fleabag for help, while a familiar face makes a reappearance at the cafe. Hilary makes a friend, Martin demands answers and Godmother and Dad’s wedding hangs in the balance. Comedy written by and starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge as a woman wrestling with the demands of modern living as she spins through London grasping at anyone and anything that might keep her head above water.

We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
