A GLASGOW bar serving a cocktail called Lewis Capaldi was shocked when the chart topper himself came to claim a drink.
So L.A. in Mitchell Street said anyone with the singer’s name would get one for free.
The singer heard about the cocktail and posted an Instagram story tagging the bar, saying “see you soon”.
He then turned up with a few of his mates, happy to pose for photos before taking a booth and trying his own drink.
The 22-year-old’s verdict?
“It hits you in the face.”
The bar’s manager Iain Reid came up with the cocktail to launch the forthcoming Glasgow Cocktail Weekend in September.
Louise Rusk, co-owner of So L.A., said: “We know Lewis is a gin connoisseur so we created the cocktail in his honour with gin as a base. We never thought for one minute he’d be the first person to try it but we’re so glad he did.”
