THE Scottish Government’s cap on the number of Scots who can attend Scotland’s universities is blatant discrimination against aspirational working-class and lower-middle-class Scots.

Whilst the number of Scottish students is capped, there is absolutely no cap on the number of EU students who can attend Scotland’s universities, with their fees paid by the Scottish taxpayer, regardless of how wealthy their families are.

Neither is there any cap on the number of children of Russian oligarchs or those of the fabulously wealthy elites of the Communist Party of China who are welcome to study in Scotland.

Yet Scottish students are not only discriminated against by Scottish Government policy, but Scotland loses much-needed valuable talent as the potential of Scots is wasted.

Why on earth would aspirational working-class and lower-middle-class Scots vote for independence when their children are disadvantaged by Scottish Government policy?
