GEORGE Galloway has been lambasted by social media users after seeming to express solidarity with several Labour politicians and activists who have faced allegations relating to anti-Semitism.

The former Labour Party MP took to Twitter in an apparent effort to voice support for the “Palestinian people”.

“I am the ex-Mayor of Sunderland. I am Chris Williamson MP. I am Asa Winstanley. I am Marc Wadsworth. I am Jackie Walker. I am Tony Greenstein. I am Ken Livingstone,” he tweeted, adding: “I am the Palestinian people.”

MP Chris Williams, a key ally of Jeremy Corbyn, was suspended from the party last week after he claimed the party had been “too apologetic” about anti-Semitism.

Party members Asa Winstanley and Jackie Walker have also been suspended by Labour amid anti-Semitism probes.
