THE Edinburgh International Harp Festival (EIHF) will soon return for its 38th year, attracting some of world’s foremost harp musicians.

The festival takes place from April 5 to 10 at Merchiston Castle School in Edinburgh and features more than 70 concerts, workshops and courses.

This year’s festival will explore the global impact of the harp, sourcing inspiring new genres of music, and the many forms of the instrument, by welcoming world-class international musicians to Edinburgh, including the Corbalan brothers from Paraguay.

Harp and fiddle duo Twelfth Day and the Poozies are among the homegrown talent set to perform.

Isobel Mieras, artistic adviser to the EIHF, said: “We aim to introduce new, inspiring performers, bring back established popular favourites, encourage young talent and include as many tastes and genres as possible.”
