THE SNP leader at Westminster has accused Theresa May of "rewriting history".

During a heated Commons debate, Ian Blackford said: “Sometimes I think the PM must live in a parallel universe.

“We’ve just heard from the Prime Minister that she wanted this concluded in December. Mr Speaker, talk about rewriting history, it was the Prime Minister that denied us the right to have a meaningful vote.

“And to try and rewrite history, and she sits there laughing. You know sometimes you should be honest with yourself, never mind being honest with the people of the United Kingdom.”

He went on to ask if May had carried out an economic assessment of the impact her deal would have on the UK economy – asking for a simple yes or no.

Blackford called May’s “binary choice” between her deal and a no deal laughable and urged her to end the “economic madness”.
