AFTER it emerged that Scottish Tory MP Ross Thomson had allegedly been removed from a bar in Parliament last night for groping young men, one of his colleagues remarkably pointed to the stress Brexit is causing the politician.

According to the Guido Fawkes blog, Thomson had been kicked out of a Westminster bar for touching young men.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that they had been called at around 11pm "following a report of sexual touching".

No formal allegations were made to officers and no arrests were made.

A Tory MP told The Herald: "I have been worried about Ross. He has been under a lot of pressure with the workload and Brexit."

Another backbencher explained: "When something like this happens, you realise how little support there is for people."

Colleagues said that party bosses should move to support Thomson, if he required that.

A spokesman for the Scottish Tories said they were "aware of reports of an incident last night" and that the "matter is being looked into".

Thomson has been approached for comment.

An eyewitness told Guido Fawkes: "Many people watched on in disgust and I saw someone pull him to one side to ask him to leave. He returned around four times after being chaperoned out and carried on groping people.

"It became so unpleasant that the police had been called and eventually escorted him out of the bar after taking statements in the corridor. I believe the Sergeant at Arms is also aware of the incident.”
