NICOLA Sturgeon has told Boy George he'd be welcome in Scotland after the singer tweeted he was moving following May's disastrous Brexit vote.

The former lead singer of Culture Club, popular for hits such as Karma Chameleon and Do You Really Want to Hurt Me, shared his plans to head north on Twitter.

In the usual fashion, he was inundated with welcoming messages such as "Come on up then. We’d love to have you." from @Skinnycortado, and even an offer to get involved with Independence Live's new radio project.

However, the biggest name to welcome the DJ and fashion designer, who currently resides in London, must have been the First Minister herself.

And so he will be, if he makes the move.
