A SCOTTISH geospatial analytics company has appointed two new senior team members.
GSI has extended its team to support its growth within the market. Stuart Miller has been appointed as senior sales manager and Stuart MacCallum joins the company as a remote sensing specialist.
Miller will be leading sales for GSI globally and brings more than 30 years of experience in the international geospatial industry. As part of his newly created role at GSI, Miller will be responsible for driving commercial activity for the organisation.
With 18 years in the industry behind him, and a PhD in atmospheric sciences, MacCallum will work closely with GSI’s sales team to ensure clients are provided with rapid analytics from satellite data.
Gavin Tweedie, GSI CEO, said: “The earth observation market is booming – especially in Scotland – and these appointments reflect the ever growing need to recruit the best in the industry. Both gentlemen will provide a real boost to the business and allow us to not only deliver more support capabilities to our clients but will also allow us to speak to more people than ever before about the bottom line benefits of earth observation.”
GSI has also today launched a new brand identity following a strategic shift by the company as it looks to focus on providing business intelligence for global resources and extends its capabilities beyond just monitoring natural resources to also support the detection, classification and measurement of man-made structures and general land cover.
Tweedie added: “In the last 18 months, we have placed significant focus on refining our products and services. As a result of this refresh, we are pleased to be able to provide our clients with a broader scope of support and felt that it was a perfect time to redefine who we are to the industry. As we further cement our place in the industry and to reflect where we have come from, this new brand identity will allow us to reach more businesses than ever before and demonstrate how earth observation can provide true value to them.”
