ORGANISERS of the biggest marches for independence yet seen, All Under One Banner, also carry out charity efforts and this winter they have chosen MFR Cash for Kids Mission Christmas as their main charity to support.

AUOB told us: “MFR Cash for Kids launched an appeal following the theft of donated gifts from the cathedral in Inverness. This coupled with the fact that MFR Cash for Kids received over 4000 applications for help this year meant that it was going to be extremely challenging to meet their target.

“Fiona Cameron and Judith Reid from All Under One Banner presented a cheque for £400 to the charity. This amount was raised from the sale of All Under One Banner’s 2018 t-shirt stock and kind donations and will help put a smile on the faces of some children who would otherwise have had nothing on Christmas morning.”

All Under One Banner are also donating items for Drumchapel Foodbank with a collection in Glasgow later today. The drop-off point for donations of non-perishable food items will take place from 12pm to 3pm outside the City Chambers.

Anyone wishing to donate or assist can either contact the main All Under One Banner facebook page or donate in person during these times.

All Under One Banner will be distributing outer clothing to Glasgow’s homeless this afternoon and help from any volunteers will be appreciated.

AUOB added: “We would like to to take this opportunity to wish everyone a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.”
