NICOLA Sturgeon has called on Jeremy Corbyn to lodge a vote of no confidence against the Prime Minister.

The First Minister has said that if he does, the SNP will support it and work with the Labour Party to bring down Theresa May's Brexit plan and stop the process "in another vote".

"So @jeremycorbyn," she tweeted, "if Labour, as official opposition, lodges motion of no confidence in this incompetent government tomorrow, @theSNP will support & we can then work together to give people the chance to stop Brexit in another vote. This shambles can’t go on - so how about it?"

MPs were due to vote on Theresa May's Brexit deal at Westminster tomorrow, but with the Prime Minister facing a humiliating defeat, rumours are growing that that vote will now be delayed.
