SUPPORTERS for a People’s Vote on Brexit took to the streets across Scotland yesterday.

Organised by the People’s Vote coalition, activists urged shoppers to contact their local MP and call on them to see the public given a choice to vote on backing the Government’s Brexit deal, or to remain in the EU instead.

Street stalls and leafleting took place in Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Inverness, Stirling, Perth, Kirkcaldy, St Andrews, Dunfermline, Kinross, and Dollar, part of a day of action across the entire UK, organised by the Peoples’ Vote coalition.

In Glasgow, campaigners braved torrential rain on Argyle Street before singing European Christmas carols outside the Gallery of Modern Art, waving signs reading “Glasgow Loves EU”.
