CALLS to give Nicola Sturgeon and leaders of other political parties look set to be rejected.
Theresa May yesterday challenged Jeremy Corbyn to a debate over her Brexit plan, prompting calls for other leaders to be included.
Keith Brown wrote to Sky News calling for the SNP to be included in the debate.
That was followed by the Greens, the LibDems and Plaid Cymru all saying they also should be involved.
But it appears that Downing Street is set to resist those request, according to The Times.
David Lidington, Theresa May’s de facto deputy, saying earlier today that the debate will be “between the leaders of the two biggest parties at Westminster”.
Denying the other parties a platform could raise doubts about broadcasters’ plans to hold a debate given issues over representation.
