IT is reported that Leave voters are deserting the Tories to Labour over Theresa May’s draft deal! Labour have a three-point lead.
Perplexing is the latest scenario! Do these Leave voters want a stronger Leave deal or a no deal or are they moving to return to Remain under the illusion that Labour is pro-Remain?
Yet, the the EU have stated that the deal remains!
At the same time the Leavers in May’s Cabinet – the Pizza Plotters, according to Amber Rudd – want to renegotiate aspects of the backstop, so we have two Cabinets in No 10. Theresa May is now trying to shift onto the future relationship to resolve problems! And the Arch Brexiteers in the Tory party are aiming to unseat May through the internal party 1922 Committee.
Tory party Remainers are even tending to want to reverse Brexit completely.
All go everywhere, but all over the place! The Depute PM, Lidington, is placing sob stories about how Theresa May is a patriot, is doing her selfless best for the country and it is our patriotic duty to fall into line! We even hear how her husband is consoling her with beans on toast and a dram!
The antics merry-go-round continues apace and yet the clock ticks.
Theresa May is reported to start again making contact with EU leaders, to do what? The Cabinet had already accepted the deal. How can the EU at this juncture even entertain any changes and hope it will accepted by the Cabinet or unleash another revolt in Torydom? The most absurd comment came from Arch-Leaver Tory Nadine Dorries, who opined that we shall have no influence on the EU as there will be no UK MEPs! You could not make it up!!
It is MayHem all round.
It must be clear now that the country is not going to help to put the Tory party together again. It is time for Theresa May and the Tory party to be cast into the political wilderness! No doubt Labour are in the same albeit as yet silent inner chaos over Brexit as the Tories.

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
