A SECOND arrest has been made over the paraglider protest during Donald Trump's visit to Turnberry.

The July incident took place amidst tight security during the US President's stay at his Scottish golf resort in July.

Trump came to Scotland after meeting with Theresa May and the Queen in London.

The trip created strong protest across the UK, with tens of thousands taking to the streets in central London.

A banner reading "Trump Well Below Par" and carrying the Greenpeace logo was flown from a paraglider shortly after the ex-reality TV star arrived at his South Ayrshire hotel on Friday July 13.

First Lady Melania was also at the South Ayrshire site.

A 55-year-old man was arrested and charged in July and was released pending further inquiries.

Now a second man, aged 35, has been reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with the incident.

In a statement today, a spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Police Scotland can confirm that a second man, aged 35 years, has been reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with an incident when a powered parachute was flown in the vicinity of the Turnberry Hotel around 9.45pm on Friday July 13 2018."
