SOME of Scotland’s leading female sporting stars were honoured at a ceremony in Glasgow when Scottish Women In Sport held its annual awards dinner on Friday.

Target shooter Seonaid McIntosh took the top prize when she was named University of the West of Scotland Sportswoman of the Year.

The 22-year-old, who is pictured with professor Richard Davison of UWS came out on top after a public vote on a shortlist of six. McIntosh followed up a bronze medal double at this year’s Commonwealth Games on Australia’s Gold Coast with silver at the World Championships.

Scotland’s women’s football team and their coach Shelley Kerr were also among those honoured, following their qualification for next year’s World Cup.
