NOMINATIONS for the Scottish Alternative Music Awards have been announced, with the winners to be awarded their gongs at a live event at Glasgow’s Saint Lukes on October 25.
As well as featuring live sets from Paisley’s The Vegan Leather (top) and Blanck Mass, hosts Laura Boyd and Jim Gellatly will announce the winners from the following nominees:
Best acoustic act: Blue Rose Code, Hamish Hawk, Zoe Bestel and Megan Airlie;
Best rock/alternative act: Declan Welsh & The Decadent West, ST MARTiiNS, Lucia and Voodoos;
Best newcomer: Zoe Graham, The Dunts, Beta Waves and Crystal;
Best live act: Free Love, Lylo, Rapid Tan and Future Get Down;
Best electronic act: Cucina Povera, Lanark Artefax, LAPS and Lo Kindre;
Best metal act: Bleed From Within, Tenements, Neshiima and Lotus Eater;
Best hip hop act: The Honey Farm, Kobi Onyame, Solareye and Jackal Trades.
