A NEW staged live performance of Scottish singer, songwriter and musician Kathryn Joseph’s latest album had its world premiere in Glasgow last night.

A five-date tour by the 2015 Scottish Album of the Year Award winner kicked off with a performance at the city’s Tramway.

Kathryn Joseph: From When I Wake moves on to Summerhall in Edinburgh tonight, the Tolbooth in Stirling tomorrow, Horsecross in Perth on Monday and London on Wednesday.

From When I Wake The Want Is, released last month, is the follow-up to Joseph’s debut album Bones You Have Thrown Me And Blood I’ve Spilled.

For the theatrical show, Joseph, from Inverness, has collaborated with acclaimed Glasgow-based theatre company Cryptic, with direction from Josh Armstrong, body architecture by Marketa Kratochvilova, design by James Johnson and lighting design by Nich Smith.

Armstrong,studied at New York University and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

He has worked with Cryptic since 2009, becoming the first Cryptic associate director in 2011.
