The National:

RICHARD Leonard came with a trick up his sleeve at First Minister's Question's today – he had a plan to catch Nicola Sturgeon out.

The Scottish Labour leader wanted to make a point about standardised testing causing children as young as five to feel crushed.

"Can [the First Minister] give us another word for a hummingbird's beak," he asked. She couldn't. Judging by social media, most people were stumped.

At this point, it should be mentioned that Leonard was taking a few liberties with the truth – would you believe it?

It's one of the standardised literary questions for five-year-olds, he said. Except, not exactly.

It seems that the real test for the pupils is to choose the correct alternative for the word "beak". The options are "skin", "bill", or "body".

Perhaps Leonard found this a crushing task – we won't judge – but most people probably won't.

We thought maybe our readers could help out though. We've prepared this vote below, for you to weigh in.

We look forward to seeing how the poll turns out – and if you have any alternative answers, you can leave them in the comments below.
