The National:

What have Scotland's papers decided to splash on today?

Troublesome Tories, nationalised railways and more headlines dedicated to that couple getting married at the weekend are the big hitters today.

The National:

The i leads with the East Coast Main Line being brought back under public control. For many, this news must have come as a breath of fresh air - something that was always missing from any seats near the bathroom on this line.

There's a wee follow up on Theresa May being told to respect the will of the Scottish Parliament too.

There's also a noticeable lack of chat around the royal wedding, which can't be said for...the Daily Star.

The National:

With everything happening, you'd think that the princess-to-be doing a sex scene at some point in her acting career wouldn't be newsworthy let alon worth a front cover splash.

Never let it be said that some papers can't find a misogynistic angle on anything.

Meanwhile, The Times has restricted its Royal Wedding coverage to a wee box at the top and huge photo in the middle. It also includes a handy "spotter's guide" of people to stay away from if you want to keep your sanity intact.

The National:

The main lead here however is a follow on from the renationalisation of the East Coast Main Line and a warning that others could follow.

The Scotsman too has led with this story and...there's a little story on the right hand side that might have had something to do with us. More on that in a moment. 😉

The National:

The Scottish Daily Mail on the other hand has put on it's very best "Daily Mail" hat and ran with a splash on the Royal Wedding AND a dig at immigrants.

Sarah Vine may have ten questions about the royal wedding, but we have just one: who honestly cares?

The National:

Also, potholes.

The Herald have gone with news that the conservatives could face annihilation if they trample over Scotland's devolution settlement - which it seems likely they may do.

The National:

This could be a decision that no amount of screaming "no referendum, no surrender" can save them from...

The Daily Record leads with a story of "karate queen" Kelly setting about two men who tried to attack her. Right on.

The National:

They have also gone with the story of a Tory MSP caught up in a lobbying scandal which also happened to make...

...our front page! You can read the full story here.

Remember earlier, you saw a wee reference to "union jackery"? Well, that also came from a story that we ran resulting in the Tories putting in a FOI request and complaining about the result. You can read about that here.

That's it for today! Check back tomorrow for the latest headlines.
