FOUR young people from Renfrewshire have the opportunity to increase their job prospects through working with Young Enterprise Scotland.
YES Works is a social enterprise founded by Young Enterprise Scotland, whose team of staff depends on the support of over 600 volunteers from Scotland’s business community.
A collaboration with Linstone Housing will enable the four young people to take part in a training programme which includes 21 hours of work experience a week, and vocational accreditations and employability support –provided by West College Scotland –for 26 weeks.
Colin Higgins, manager of YES Works, said: “Since YES Works launched two years ago, it has created five full time sustainable posts, over 20 training opportunities each year and another four young lives being given a potentially transformational opportunity starting today – thanks to our collaboration with Linstone Housing Association.”
