SCOTTISH companies of all sizes are being encouraged to support an initiative which champions the responsible business agenda.

Taking place this week, Responsible Business Week promotes the work of firms helping drive positive social, environmental and economic change.

Led by Business in the Community, a business-led, issue-focused charity, the week features knowledge sharing and networking events as a platform to raise awareness of the role responsible businesses play in creating a fairer society.

Alan Thornburrow, Business in the Community Scotland’s director said: “We know that only concerted action at scale by government, business and society will create the lasting and significant changes necessary to end poverty and improve quality of life for all who live in Scotland.

He added: “Responsible business has a vital role in achieving inclusive growth and ensuring Scotland is well placed to weather global turbulence and large-scale change.”
