TWO new members have been added to the board of a Highland port.

Hugh Mitchell and Stewart Ralston join the other six members of the Port of Cromarty Firth (PoCF) board.

The Port’s board meets regularly to review the Port’s business and future plans.

Hugh Mitchell’s distinguished career has comprised of more than 37 years at Royal Dutch Shell, one of the largest companies in the world.

Stewart Ralston, who is based in Aberdeen, is an accomplished principal consultant, construction law specialist, senior project manager and chartered engineer, with extensive on and offshore experience working with major operators and contractors in the global oil, gas and energy sectors.

Bob Buskie, chief executive of the PoCF, said: “The Port is absolutely thrilled to bring the vast experience of Stewart and Hugh to our Board.

“We are lucky to have such a strong board that works well together,” he added.
