To mark Valentine's Day, anti-independence group Scotland In Union wrote a wee poem taking aim at the Yes movement ... but the responses were far better.

"Roses are red / Violets are blue / We love the UK / We don't want Indyref2" – a bit awkward, but a better effort than Brexiteers, at least.

Although Unionists seemed reluctant to give their reasons for loving the UK in response, kind-hearted pro-Indy users chipped in with their thoughts.

Some made reference to information about the campaign group's donors being leaked, others reminded them that there was a fair chunk of Scotland who very much did want an indyref2, and there were a few who pointed out that it was a pretty unhappy marriage.
