THE Scottish SPCA is looking for a new home for McTavish the love bird this Valentine's Day.

McTavish has been alone his whole life, so SSPCA staff are hoping that he could find a forever home with another bird.

After arriving at the Dumbarton branch of the Scottish animal welfare charity, the love bird quickly became a staff favourite.

Scottish SPCA Dumbarton centre manager Joe McDade said, “Lovely McTavish arrived at our centre through no fault of his own and, having been alone his full life, is desperate to find a feathered friend – perhaps another love bird.

“McTavish has always been allowed to have free roam in his home and is easily persuaded back into his cage with the aid of a tasty treat.”
