WHEN it comes to achieving success in the premium bath and beauty market, the Scottish Fine Soaps Company knows what washes.

The company prides itself on creating high-quality products, sophisticated fragrances and beautiful gift ideas.

The Scottish Fine Soaps Company was founded 1974 as a part of family-run trading group Alexander Ross Holdings, which dates back to 1923 when Robert Ross founded a chemical manufacturing business – the Union Chemical Company – in Falkirk.

Throughout its history, the group has remained loyal to its commitment to invest in its staff, environment, products and services.

A company spokesperson explains: “For 90 years, the business has passed down the Ross family line. Two generations of the family still work in the company, including a fourth generation Ross as managing director, and the broader staff are proud to have an average service of 15 years.”

With such strong company values, it comes as little surprise that the brand has gone from strength to strength in a competitive market. The Scottish Fine Soaps Company now houses a talented team of 40, including designers, production specialists and an in-house chemist who is on hand to ensure that products are of the highest quality.

The company still creates, designs, makes and packages all of their products from their factory near Ochil Hills in Stirlingshire.

To create their bath and beauty products, the brand sources ingredients from Scotland and all around the world, with each ingredient selected for its unique, natural beauty benefits. All products are paraben-free and gently fragranced.

The brand’s best-selling collection, Au Lait, offers hand care, body care, bath and shower products and focuses on its soothing, nourishing and rejuvenating properties enriched with organic milk, aloe vera, sweet almond oil and cocoa butter.

Having celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2014, the company is embracing an exciting new chapter in its lifecycle by taking fresh inspiration from contemporary Scottish trends.
