BAY Fish & Chips has surpassed sales expectations in its annual showcase of the best of its Scottish produce in Japan.

Situated in the popular Isetan department store in Shinjuku, Tokyo, owner and chef Calum Richardson and his team served in excess of 4000 fish suppers and 2000 limited edition Bay Burgers over the six-day showcase.

Based in Stonehaven, The Bay first started visiting Japan with its offering after it won National Fish & Chip Shop of the Year in 2013.

Due to high demand, The Bay

now has offerings multiple times a year across Japan.

Richardson said: “It’s not only a brilliant platform for my business, but for Scottish food and drink, as

it helps to create opportunities for the sector."
