AN exhibition showcasing the work of amateur photographers is entering its second phase after receiving a large number of responses.

The Glasgow Gallery of Photography was overwhelmed with submissions from photographers across Scotland and beyond.

The interest meant organisers decided to divide the exhibition into two parts, with the second beginning next week at their new gallery on Glassford Street.

Michael McCann, the gallery director said: “The Open Call 2 exhibition is the second part of a large photography exhibition, exhibiting the work of both Scottish and international photographers.

“The idea behind the exhibition was to celebrate photography as a whole, to celebrate the opening of the new gallery and, as always, give photographers the opportunity to exhibit their work in a gallery.”
