3 NANCY Clench, the independence movement’s favourite drag queen, is on today! She is returning to the comedy stage with her new show, showcasing the cream of the crop of Scottish comedy talent. 5 AS part of Perth Festival of the Arts there is a new festival weekend, featuring the best up and coming solo artists and bands in Scotland. The event will take place in a large marquee at Perth Concert Hall Plaza so get ready for two days of gigs showcasing the best of Scottish talent.

Festival goers can enjoy one of Perth’s most exciting musical exports, the underground pop band Parliamo as well as Perthshire singer-songwriter Angus Munro and National favourite Amy Papiransky will be making her first appearance at Perth Festival. Just announced and added to the line-up is the creative and singer-songwriter Alex Amor and Edinburgh and Fife-based singer-songwriter Shorthouse. 6 EDINBURGH gets a fancy schmancy new pop-up cocktail bar at Harvey Nicks this summer. The Cocktail Mafia on the fourth floor is being launched by the team behind The Raging Bull on Lothian Road. It promises to ooze glamour and elegance with a cheeky wee theatrical flair. My mouth is watering at the promise of a Watermelon Tommy amongst some great tunes and summer vibes. 7 LAST but not least, head down to Moffat today for the fantastic Eden Festival. Set in the stunning Raehills Meadows and hosting 10 different stages featuring Supergrass, Basement Jaxx, Coolio, Craig Charles, The Mouse Outfit, drum and bass veteran Roni Size and more. It’s a family friendly festival with a kids arena, circus tent, drive in cinema, comedy, cabaret and workshops, as well as a feast of performers, artworks and games.
