Here are the picks of tonight's TV...

Changing Rooms (C4, 8pm)
ANNA Richardson looks on as designers Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, Russell Whitehead and Jordan Cluroe get set to help two neighbours from Cardiff transform rooms in each other’s homes. Teresa and Andrew hope to turn their uninspiring front room into a living room to die for, while their friends Maria and Nick want their impersonal lounge-diner to become the multi-functional family space they’ve been longing for. Carpenter-joiner Tibby Singh is the man with a hammer who’s on call to lend them all a hand.

Great Canal Journeys (More4, 9pm)
HURRAY for the return of this delightful series, which is the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of modern life. Sheila Hancock and Gyles Brandreth are back on the barge to explore the Cambridgeshire Fens. The duo visit the vicarage where a children’s classic was written, make a pilgrimage to Ely Cathedral to hear some medieval plainsong and try their hand at a spot of landscape painting, before ending their journey in Cambridge, where they pay homage to early 20th-century poet Rupert Brooke.

Jay’s Yorkshire Workshop (BBC2, 9pm)
THE Bradford-based workshop throws open its doors once again, its makers ready to create pieces of bespoke furniture for people who have gone above and beyond the call of duty. Foreman Jay Blades’ first customer is Angie, a matron at Airedale General Hospital, who requests something special for a group of fundraising primary school children. She’s followed by a Hebden Bridge resident who wants to repay the kindness of a local volunteer flood warden.

George Clarke’s Remarkable Renovations (C4, 9pm)
THE short but sweet series draws to a close on the banks of the River Humber, where Bernie has spent £125,000 on a property that used to be the stable block serving a grand Victorian estate nearby. For Bernie, it offers the opportunity to retire close to his daughter and son-in-law. It does, however, need an awful lot of work – turning it into a luxury retreat won’t be easy, but Bernie is determined to make it work. It soon becomes clear, however, that he needs to hand the reins over to someone else when it comes to design.
