Gregor Townsend’s hosts will be looking for their first Six Nations victory over the Auld Enemy since 2008, boosted by a win over France two weeks ago. Andy Nicol, Jeremy Guscott, Martin Johnson and Paul O’Connell join John Inverdale.

NATURAL History Museum palaeontologist Dr Tori Herridge continues her mission to chart Britain’s maritime history via state-of-the-art technology, uncovering stories from our industrial and natural history that are only revealed when the tide goes out. In Dorset, she finds out about the world’s first aircraft carriers, the vital role its coastline played in D-Day, and an Iron Age monument that can only be seen for a few hours a year.

Troy: Fall of a City, BBC1, 9.10pm
HELEN and Paris reach Troy and discover news of their elopement has arrived ahead of them. Rulers Priam and Hecuba engage in an agonising debate over whether to send Helen back to her husband or face the consequences of defiance. In Sparta, Menelaus and his brother Agamemnon marshal the Greek forces in preparation of an invasion of Troy.
