THE Centre, one of Scotland’s largest shopping centres, situated in the heart of the central belt has been awarded its first-ever quality assurance VisitScotland accreditation, with one of the highest accolades of five stars.

The shopping complex in Livingston, which hosts over 150 stores and over 20 eateries, including Debenhams, M&S, New Look, Primark, Nando’s, Wagamama and ASK Italian secured the award in recognition of its customer service and facility for both locals and tourists visiting the area.

VisitScotland chief executive Malcolm Roughead said: “Congratulations to The Centre on this fantastic achievement. The five-Star award recognises the exceptional customer service experience for visitors to The Centre and is a great addition to the quality offering in West Lothian.

“Our Quality Assurance scheme helps businesses to reach their full potential and truly shine. The scheme is about more than just the ‘stars’ on the door – it’s about the entire visitor experience, about investing in your business, driving-up quality and creating jobs.”

Patrick Robbertze, centre director at The Centre, said: “Being presented with this prestigious five-Star VisitScotland award today is a fantastic accolade, which is testament to the outstanding team we have on board who continuously strive to ensure everyone who visits the mall to shop, dine out or have fun at Aerial Adventures, has a great experience when they visit.”
