A SCOTTISH smart mobile marketing agency is hoping to double its revenue in the current financial year after relocating to a new city centre office.

Already employing 24 people at its headquarters in Glasgow, Digitonic has ambitious targets for future growth, having increased its turnover by 44% in 2018.

The firm has since secured investment that valued it at £10 million, and bosses now hopes a new city centre office will enable Digitonic to grow its workforce over the next 12 months as it looks to boost revenue further.

Digitonic has invested a six-figure sum in converting a previously disused space opposite Central Station into a modern work facility. It is three times bigger than the company’s previous office and will act as the its headquarters as the firm continues to expand internationally, having recently announced the opening of a new office in India.

Founded in 2011, Digitonic is a smart mobile marketing and technology company that uses the art of conversational marketing to help brands engage, acquire and retain customers through its proprietary technologies.

It has been the highest rated marketing technology business in the IP100 league table, as well as being shortlisted for several high-profile industry awards, including the Drum Awards for the Digital Industries and the Digital and Marketing Association Awards.

The business explored several locations for its new headquarters. Despite more cost-effective spaces being available, bosses said that they decided to remain in a central location following consultations with staff, who were overwhelmingly in favour of remaining in the city centre.

Grant Fraser, CEO of Digitonic, commented: “Our staff have played an instrumental role in the company’s success and, as such, we wanted to ensure that we engaged with them as much as possible. After consulting with each member of staff, we came to the decision to continue to base ourselves in the growing tech hub that is Glasgow city centre.

“Glasgow is our home and we are delighted to remain in the city as we believe it is an ideal location to support our growth ambitions.

He added: “The business is now in a position to accelerate our growth as we look to expand the team significantly over the coming months.”

The modern office provide employees with a collaborative working space, meeting rooms and a social area where they can relax, the firm said.

Fraser continued: “We have come a long way since our first office eight years ago and we have managed to turn an initial £4000 investment into a £10m business, retaining in excess of 75% of the shares.

“This is something we are incredibly proud of and we are excited to see what the future holds for the business as we continue our expansion in both the UK and international markets from our HQ in Glasgow.”
