THE Tories still don't seem to have a clue how social media works, and so another Tweet is backfiring on one of their MPs.
Andrew Bridgen, MP for North West Leicestershire, took to Twitter to show his constituents how hard he was working.

Not exactly an action shot, is it? His hands are resting awkwardly on the keyboard, and his tablet and keys make it seem like he's just about to go out the door.
And yet that bizarre pose isn't even the best part of the picture. That honour goes to the framed portrait behind Bridgen.
"FREEDOM IS IN PERIL โ DEFEND IT WITH ALL YOUR MIGHT", it reads.
It must be a pain having to move your inspirational poster every time you try to get into your files.
Still, this all offered an ideal template for Twitter users to do a little Photoshopping โ and they were excellent.

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. Weโve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who arenโt really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So thatโs why weโve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate โ and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about โ people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Letโs get that debate started!
Callum Baird, Editor of The National
