HIBS head coach Alan Stubbs has issued a rallying cry to the club’s supporters ahead of Saturday’s crucial play-off clash with Rangers.
The Leith outfit are staring at the prospect of a second successive season in the Championship after being defeated 2-0 in Wednesday’s semi-final first leg at Ibrox.
Stubbs admits his side face an uphill struggle to keep their promotion dream alive and has called on the Easter Road faithful to do all they can to make sure Stuart McCall’s side are not made to feel welcome this weekend.
Hibs are hoping for a bigger than normal home crowd and have reduced Rangers’ traditional 3800 away allocation to 1500 to make room for more of their fans in the South Stand.
Stubbs said: “It’s important now that we try and make Easter Road as intimidating as possible.
“We really have to try and make the place rock on Saturday, get right behind the team — they’re the 12th man and I’m sure they will be.
“They have been great all season so I don’t see Saturday being any different.”
Goals from Nicky Clark and Kenny Miller at Ibrox on Wednesday night put Rangers in a commanding position to set up a play-off final date with Motherwell.
