NEIL Lennon hailed Hibernian’s display after they moved three points clear at the top of the Ladbrokes Championship with a 4-0 victory over Queen of the South.
Brian Graham, John McGinn, David Gray and Martin Boyle all netted to keep the Easter Road side on track for promotion.
Manager Lennon said: “It was the best performance of the season and one of the best performances in my time as a manager at any club.
“I thought our attacking intent, our intensity, the pace we played at, the hunger and the quality were all great. As a manager, it’s been a very good day – seeing your team play as well as that, sending the punters home happy and extending the lead at the top of the table.”
Second-placed Dundee United lost ground when they were held to a goalless draw by third-placed Morton at Cappielow. Raith Rovers missed the chance to leapfrog Jim Duffy’s side as they also fought out a 0-0 stalemate away to Dumbarton.
James Craigen boosted Falkirk’s play-off hopes with the only goal in a 1-0 win away to Ayr United.
St Mirren are seven points adrift at the bottom after Nicky Clark gave Dunfermline a 1-0 victory in Paisley.
